"Once Upon A Time... In Americana" is a literary collection that captures the essence of traditional American experiences through poetry and short stories. The collection explores the rituals, relationships, and landscapes that have defined American cultural identity across generations.
This poignant story follows William Terrence Calloway, once a promising poet and college professor who now goes by "Terry" and struggles with alcoholism while working as a street poet in New Orleans. Terry types poems for tourists in Jackson Square, charging a few dollars per piece while battling daily to earn just enough money for a motel room and alcohol.
